JAFAB, Trollhättan, Sweden

TGN grid scope: 400kW/400kWh, EV-truck chargers

JAFAB is a real estate company that rents out premises in an industrial area in Trollhättan. The building is located close to the E45 where the owner saw a good investment opportunity.

The road is heavily trafficked and the building is perfectly positioned to offer smooth electric charging. The goal of the investment is therefore to integrate the battery system in combination with EV charge.

Solution

Installation of 8 Pixii powershapers, amounting to 400 kW/400 kWh together with TGN Flexcontrol which controls and optimizes the energy flow. The solution enables earnings from customers who stop and charge, and ensures that the electricity used for charging is purchased for the best possible price in interaction with spot prices and electricity availability.

Results and benefits

The project enabled an expansion that would otherwise be impossible due to insufficient electricity grid, i.e. provides both economic and environmental benefits. Charging is energy efficient and increases the value of the property.

Future prospects

This project, thanks to battery storage, can be expanded in the future as it is independent of the limited grid capacity. The transportation industry is also expected to become even more focused on green energy in the future and infiltrate more charging-based vehicles, which benefits this charging station (mainly intended for trucks)
